Anyone that has a prowess for baked goods is usually one of the more popular people in their little circle. Everyone knows that if they are nice, sooner or later a cookie box is going to show up with their name on it. The smart cookie maker will use this to their advantage and package their treats in cookie boxes as gifts and get away cheap.
Getting some sweets over the holidays or just as a special thank you always seems to brighten up the day. When they are packaged the right way, it can have an even better effect on the person that is receiving them. Using decorated cookie boxes will show that you have given that little bit of extra care that makes them feel special and appreciated.
Cookie boxes are also a much better way to preserve the cookies or baked goods over a period of time. Many of the decorative boxes not only look good, but will also have an enclosure that allows the cookies to stay relatively fresh. Even the worst boxes are better than just letting the cookies it out on a plate.
That of course brings up the point of sanitation. People are more likely to enjoy a cookie that is covered in a box than they are something that has just been sitting out. This is especially true in an office environment where people are talking, coughing, sneezing and who knows what else. Anything that is airborne can settle on the cookies and those that have “issues” with people touching our food will be put at ease knowing that the cookies have indeed been covered the whole time.
If you go through the trouble of making homemade cookies, why throw them out there without the right packaging. The cookies will not only stay fresher in a cookie box, they will also have a better presentation and give the appearance that you do truly care about the person or people that is receiving them. For a small price, it is more than worth it.
